The T-Minus-One Homesteader Capsule is our love letter to one of our favorite textile traditions, quiltmaking. Our latest creations are antique quilts, reborn with a bit of love and care from our sewing collective into the sweetest jackets you've ever seen.
Blending American Southwest quilting with Indian reverse applique, we call this sweet topper the Grievous Angel. This jacket strikes just the right note between homesteader and adventurer, a pretty patchwork number that will take you down twenty thousand roads and back home again.
We love the arc of pink, leaf green, lemon, and cornflower blue diamonds over white reverse applique cotton on the jacket's back. Hits just below the hip. Throw it over your sports bra and leggings on the way to yoga class. Pop it over a slip dress and cowboy boots and get to honky-tonkin'. Wherever the Grievous Angel takes you, we guarantee a good time.
THE DETAILS:
- One Size Fits Most ( up to 46" bust and waist); Bespoke sizing upon request
- Hand-dyed silk ribbon/tie closure.
Gentle to the planet. Upcycled with 100% repurposed textiles hand-picked from estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. We use the quilts that 'need rescuing.' They may have stains or holes, but we take great care to rework them into new garments that enhance their patina, add to their beauty, and honor the souls of the women who made them. Sewn in Upstate New York by a member of the SRS sewing Collective.
Do Not Bleach. Dry clean or wash, inside out, on a gentle cycle and hang dry, preferably on the line, like grandma did.
